Zack’s story
Should he blow the whistle? He is like 80% sure he saw lightning, but if he blows the whistle three times, everyone is going to have to get out of the pool.
This is his summer lifeguarding at the water park. He wants to show his supervisor, Kami, that he knows that he’s doing, he doesn’t want to be the guy who clears the pool unnecessary.
Oh, yeah, he definitely happened that time. With trepidation and excitement, he blows the whistle three times, with clear, strong blows. That was exhilarating. He gets a few glares from a couple of moms who look like this is the first time they have sat down as the other lifeguards herd everyone out of the water.
Turned out to kinda be a moot point because like 7 seconds later a downpour hit, and the masses scurried to their cars and the indoor part of the water park. Zack always thought this was so funny since those same people were literally just in water.
Oh well. He did his part today. His mom will be excited to hear all the details when he gets home tonight.
