Lily’s story
She says she sees a bumble bee in the clouds. They are rolling by so fast this afternoon as we lay under the tree to get some shade. She says she can see it playing in the cloud flowers.
I ask, ‘what else can you see in the sky.’ Lily responds, ‘I see a cantaloupe and some chicken nuggets.’
‘Are you hungry for lunch,’ I ask.
‘Yes, mama,’ she says.
We walk hand in hand back into the house to get some lunch and get ready for the afternoon nap.
