Dorothy’s story
Dorothy could not have more confidence walking into the Springhill County Fair this year. She has perfected her new pie, and she will walk out of this year’s competition with a blue ribbon.
Her apple cheddar cranberry pie is divine. The cheese-infused crust is filled with apples and cranberries. A mix of sweet and tart apples and fresh cranberries are tossed with brown sugar and fall spices including nutmeg and ginger for warmth. The filling is baked until apples are just tender and the cranberries release their juices.
Could there be anything better???
Wait, one gosh darned pickin minute!!!! What did that blasted Mary Alice do this time? She is always trying to one up me, and she’s not going to do it, ever. I see she’s again trying to imitate me with more unique combinations with her blackberry lavender brownie pie, but it won’t match up to mine.
Well as long as her sister in law isn’t on the judging panel. Shouldn’t there be a rule against that kind of nepotism?
